Behaviour

At Kingsland School we have designed an environment where we encourage pupils to make the right choices in terms of their own behaviour. We support all our pupils in order to allow them to access the curriculum and develop their own personalities and self-worth within the school.

At Kingsland we use a BASE system to monitor all our pupils the system allows us to be proactive in how we help pupils deal with situations. The data provided allows us to discuss any issues with the pupils and families and come up with suitable solutions for all involved.

The BASE system allows us also to provide strong evidence in one of our goal to return pupils back to mainstream provisions through the reintegration panel.

Relationships

We strive at Kingsland to forge strong relationships with our pupils, families and the wider community. We see this a fundamental to the success for our school and pupils. At Kingsland we support our pupils beyond the classroom with our numerous teams:

  • Safeguarding

  • Special Educational Needs and/ or Disabilities (SEND)

  • Pastoral

  • Attendance

  • Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce (APST)

  • Primary Outreach Service

  • Secondary Outreach Service

Through our unified approach we engage with all our pupils, families and external stakeholders to provide the support needed to allow the pupils in our care to develop in Kingsland and move to the next step of their learning journey.

Expectations

At Kingsland we set high expectations for all, these are linked to our key values and help create the stepping stone for pupils to achieve the next part of their learning journey.
