Secondary Outreach Service (SOS)
Our Secondary Outreach Service (SOS) is a planned service that will offer support to Oldham secondary schools when a child or young person is experiencing significant difficulty in school and the presentation of their behaviour means they are at risk of permanent exclusion.
Our service will support school staff to explore any barriers to attendance, learning with a focus to improve inclusive practice and outcomes for specific pupils. Our focus will be on supporting and coaching colleagues to better understand the presentation of a child’s behaviour as a form of communication and approaches that help children to engage, enjoy and achieve in their learning.
